Experimental Cell and Molecular Biology Techniques Course—Memphis Science Partners provides the opportunity for area middle and high school teachers to attend a summer graduate course at the University of Memphis in order to learn to conduct science experiments using state-of-the-art biotechnology equipment. During the school year, graduate students and staff from UTHSC bring the equipment and materials to schools to assist the teachers in performing these experiments with their own students.

Laboratories—Five types of basic molecular biology techniques used in research laboratories are learned: transformation, DNA fingerprinting, protein fingerprinting, Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), and Enzyme Linked ImmunoSorbent Assay (ELISA). New labs are continually being added.
